✅ Selection

Its mosaic factory carries out a demanding selection of raw materials based on different characteristics, such as control of stone granules, colors, proportions, granulometry (sieving), cleanliness, firmness, and others. The most important analyzes are carried out etc.

Cements: tone of each batch, periodic resistance evaluations, deposits in a battery of silos of 70 Tn, each, to avoid the use of hot cement, which is detrimental to the production of floors.

The materials testing laboratory and years of experience determine the exact mix, by weight and volume, of all raw materials, to obtain the best quality.

✅ Technology

The most advanced machinery in the world for the manufacture and polishing of granite floors is used to manufacture these products. The linear polishers have 6 and 8 heads, two with diamond rings for coarse grinding and the rest with abrasive stones of different finishes. In this way, polished floors are delivered, ready to be used in any type of work.

✅ SUGGESTED STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACEMENT

1. SURFACE PREPARATION

The plates can be placed on a common subfloor or on concrete. Given its characteristics, it does NOT require a Smoothed Folder ("floored folder", "cement folder" or "leveled folder").
In areas with high water tables or surfaces with a high percentage of humidity, the subfloor will require water-repellent insulation.
Surfaces must be free of dust and grease.

2. SEATING MORTAR OR RECOMMENDED MIXTURES

Use one of these mixtures as a base mortar:
MORTAR
Mixture A: 3 Buckets of Sand + 1 Bucket of Common Cement
Mixture B: 4 Buckets of Sand + 1 Bucket of Common Cement + 1/2 Bucket of Masonry Cement.

3. PLACEMENT OF THE TRADITIONAL TWO-LAYER MOSAIC

a) Distribute the mixture on the surface (approximately 2cm thick) and cut with the spoon on the edges, so that it does not rise in the joints (A).

b) If you do not use MORTAR, paint the reverse side of the plate with a slurry prepared with 2 (two) parts of masonry cement or common cement and 1 (one) part of water and place immediately before the slurry dries. . To do this, use a foam rubber sponge or brush (B).

c) THE PRODUCTS HAVE BUILT-IN JOINT SPACERS WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU TO CARRY OUT QUICK AND CLEAN INSTALLATION (C).
Place the painted plate on the mixture and level it with strokes of dough (D) or rubber dough so that it adheres well to the mixture. The resistance of our products withstands shocks without problems.

d) As a finish we recommend the use of baseboards to avoid dirtying the walls when cleaning or waxing the floor. The baseboards must be placed above the floor with GLUE, respecting the joint of the placed floor.

4 TAKEN TOGETHER

It must be done after 24 hours and before 48 hours after the placement is completed. The joint to be filled must be "perfectly clean" and free of impurities. We recommend the use of Pastina JB, made by Blangino. Yield: 1 to 1.5 kg x m²
Dosage: 1.5 parts of Pastina JB + 1 part of water. Pastina JB must be mixed for a few minutes so that the additives work well. Its consistency should be creamy and light.
so that it easily penetrates the ENTIRE joint. a) Distribute the paste with a rubber dryer until it penetrates the entire joint.

b) Carry out the movements of the dryer diagonally to the joint, so as not to drag the paste from it. (E)

c) We recommend VERIFYing that all the joints are filled completely, to do this, go over them with a spatula (F) or seal them by sprinkling dry paste, rubbing in a semicircular manner. Remove excess paste from the surface, before drying with a dry cloth.

d) Curing is essential to achieve correct hardening of the joint paste. To achieve this, we suggest keeping the joints and floor moist with a gentle mist of water for 24 hours.

e) Avoid dirtying the joint, do not step on it for 48 hours.

Remember that these products, because they are made with natural raw materials and cement, retain a certain degree of residual moisture after their production, which manifests itself in slight differences in tone and shine during a brief stage after placement. After this first period, with the use and maintenance of the floor, it will gradually acquire the beauty and uniformity of color and shine that characterizes it."
